ROAR™ elements are available as stand-alone products or in combination with forward osmosis (FO) and seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) membranes.
When used within a stand-alone process, a ROAR™ train is capable of generating concentrate up to 200,000 TDS NaCl (at 1,000 psi / 70 bar) from permeate ranging between 35,000 – 70,000 TDS NaCl. In combination with more passes of ROAR™, less than 500 TDS permeate is generated while still reaching 200,000 TDS concentrate, and thereby minimizing ZLD costs.
The most common application is the re-concentration of draw solution in Forward Osmosis membrane system, generating above 140,000 TDS concentrate.
Key Features & Benefits
- Advanced brine concentration
- System configuration similar to conventional SWRO equipment and components
- Robust design & long service life
